A Workshop for Students

As individuals, awakening our passion for life can be a daunting step on the path to fulfillment. It can require a lifetime of creating connections, developing skills, and identifying the needs of our communities. School is an invaluable time for reflection where we have the space, resources, and support to explore what makes us passionate.

Entrepreneurship at Evergreen would like to introduce a methodical system for self-reflection and discovery. Through a series of activities, we will identify interests, strengths, and weaknesses. We will craft a step-by-step plan to  transform these interests into a viable career plan. This will require some hands-on research, coming up with a “pitch” (through the use of a speaker-listener dynamic), group feedback, and your involvement! By building momentum through this workshop, students can continue to develop a plan that extends through their time at The Evergreen State College, the Changemaker Lab as a Capstone program and into the future.

Utilizing The Learning Compass, we will address the following questions:

  • Where have I been?
  • Where am I now?
  • Where do I want to go?
  • How am I going to get there?
  • How will I know when I’ve arrived?
