Moore Town
On Sunday, March 2, 2025 we visited Moore Town, an autonomous Maroon community in the hills of the Blue Mountains with about 1,000 residents. We learned about Maroon history from Colonel Sterling in the Moore Town museum, hiked to the sacred Nanny Falls, and enjoyed lunch with a performance of drums, singing, and dancing.
