Participants are responsible for arranging their own transportation for the retreat.

VENUE

The Integrative Curriculum Planning Retreat will be held at Rainbow Lodge Retreat Center, nestled on 40 acres at the base of Mount Si. Just a short drive from Seattle, Rainbow Lodge offers a serene escape with massive rock fireplaces, comfortable rooms, and the soothing sounds of mountain streams. Attendees will have exclusive use of facilities, quality meal service, and a distraction-free environment. Join us for a refreshing and productive retreat experience in the heart of nature.

ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE

Plan to check in no later than 10:00 AM (Pacific Time) on Thursday, April 23. For those with two nights lodging, early arrival is available on Wednesday, April 22 after 5 PM (Pacific Time).

Arriving by air?

The closest airport, SeaTac (Seattle-Tacoma) International Airport, is approximately 50 minutes east of Rainbow Lodge.

For transport from SeaTac, we recommend either renting a vehicle or using Airporter Shuttle . Renting a vehicle can be convenient if you plan visit any of the pacific northwest’s natural attractions during your visit. 

Arriving by car?

If you plan to drive to Rainbow Lodge, parking is free.

ACCOMMODATIONS

Clean, comfortable lodging

Lodging

Overnight guests can select double or single-occupancy accommodations. Rooms include a sink and a shared bathroom is located on each hall. Free wifi is available throughout the building. Guest rooms do not include telephones or televisions. Guests are welcome to enjoy lounge areas for socialization.

Meals

Thursday lunch and dinner and Friday breakfast and lunch will be provided for all attendees. Meals are served family style. Guests will sit 6-8 per table, and each table will be served platters of food with enough for each guest. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate, sodas, and ice water are available at all hours of your entire stay.

Rainbow Lodge provides a full-sized refrigerator and microwave in the dining room for your use. You are welcome to bring your own food or beverages to supplement provided meals.

What should I pack?

The dress code is comfortable and casual. Spring days are generally in the upper 50’s to low 60’s but the evenings can get cool, so be sure to bring a sweater.

HEALTH & SAFETY

Masking is welcome but not required. Individuals who wish to wear masks are encouraged to do so. Bullying or other inappropriate behavior related to masking will not be tolerated. Masks are encouraged for those with a recent exposure to COVID-19, individuals who are ill, at increased risk for severe illness, or live with individuals at risk for severe illness. Retreat participants assume all risk of COVID19 transmission and its health outcomes by choosing to participate in the retreat.
