Associate Director, Institutional Research and Academic Assessment
Kingsborough Community College
Brooklyn, New York

As Associate Director of Institutional Research and Academic Assessment at Kingsborough Community College in Brooklyn, I have worked to formulate meaningful quantitative and qualitative analyses and assessments of Kingsborough’s Learning Communities programs. In addition to my administrative duties I have taught in various learning communities teams. I am co-chair of the Achieving the Dream effort on campus, as well as a member of the Civic Engagement Committee, the Equity Taskforce, and the advisory board of the Black Men’s Resource Center, among others. Prior to my arrival at Kingsborough in 2007, I researched the teaching of Sociology and Geographic Information Systems at the high school and university level.

I earned a B.A. in Sociology and Philosophy from Fairfield University in Connecticut and Master’s degrees in Sociology and Demography from Pennsylvania State University and have recently completed (January 2018!!) a doctorate in Earth and Environmental Sciences (Geography) at the Graduate Center of CUNY, where my research revolved around spatial productions and indigenous resistance movements in the Peruvian Amazon.

I am very excited to come back to the Washington Center, where I was part of Kingsborough’s team in 2012. I look forward to meeting and collaborating with everyone.
