Assistant Dean of Student Services
Director, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
Elliott School of International Affairs, The George Washington University
Washington, DC
I am a student affairs practitioner with more than ten years of experience in a number of functional areas including career development, student conduct, Title IX, first-year programs, academic advising, academic support, residence life, leadership programs, and fraternity/sorority life.
As a first-generation college student, I have always explored ways to foster an inclusive environment. My learning community journey began during my tenure at Fayetteville State University where I co-coordinated and taught in a summer bridge program. I currently serve as the assistant dean of student services and director of diversity, equity, and inclusion at George Washington University’s Elliott School of International Affairs. In this capacity, I oversee key academic services for undergraduate and graduate students including academic advising, career development, international education, freshman seminar, and student organizations. Prior to this role, I served as the assistant dean of students and founding director of the Office of Learning Communities at Norfolk State University. I have also held various positions in academic advising and academic support programs at Fayetteville State University.
A native of North Carolina, I am a graduate of Fayetteville State University where I earned a Bachelor of Arts in History. I completed a Master of Science in College Student Personnel at Arkansas Tech University.
