Revisions are due with your Portfolio, which is due at 9 am Thu. Mar. 12 outside Rachel’s office Lab 2 3268. Make sure you clearly indicate in your Table of Contents that you have included Exam Revisions, and make sure it is easy for us to find the revision in your portfolio.
If you earned 22 points or less (out of 44 total) on Part I you are required to submit a high quality revision (this is a 50% threshold). If you earned 27 points or less, it is recommended that you submit a revision (this is a 60% threshold).
If you earned 16 points or less (out of 31 total) on Part II you are required to submit a high quality revision (this is a 50% threshold). If you earned 19 points or less, it is recommended that you submit a revision (this is a 60% threshold).
The expectations for the Exam Revision are very high. We look for beautiful solutions that fully convey your conceptual understanding and/or problem-solving process.
For revisions of multiple choice or fill in the blank type questions, it is entirely insufficient and unacceptable to simply circle or fill in the right answer. You must carefully explain your reasoning for multiple-choice/fill-in-the-blank/short answer type questions.
We will look carefully at each revised question with the “3 C’s” in mind: Correctness, Completeness, and Clarity.
As usual, you may use your original exam, your notes from the group exam reflection, textbooks, other notes, solutions, consultation with classmates, and any other resources to complete your Exam Revision. However, any work submitted must be a reflection of your own current, personal understanding – do not submit work which does not properly convey your current understanding.
