Hands on Personal Empowerment (HOPE) garden is a non profit in Mason County that works with youth k12 up to 25 years old to teach basic job and life skills using agriculture and a focus on food and social justice.

We are looking for students who are passionate about farming, helping to grow a new gleaning program in Mason County, or students who are passionate about program development. We spend a lot of time working outside and I need people who are hard working, self driven, and who are passionate about food justice.

WA State Resident with financial aid
(eligible for Evergreen work study)
Able to travel to Shelton WA 10 hours per week
Interest in Food Justice and farming
Experience with youth
Learn about youth development and education in a farm based setting.
HOPE works with students and youth of all ages. We spend time working with students where they are at in a supportive and healthy environment but also aim to have youth leave our program having experienced self growth and feeling accomplished.
