About this event

Join South Central Local Integrating Organization and King County Stormwater Services for our Community Co-Design Training: Building Towards Community Ownership on Wednesday, September 29 from 12:30 pm – 3 pm.

In this freevirtual event, we’ll deepen skills, build capacity, and hear case-studies around how co-design has been used in a variety of contexts to center community voices in policy and program development as well as capital projects. The event will explore community engagement processes that move towards community co-design and empowerment.

Co-design is a participatory approach that seeks to build equity by engaging community members from diverse cultures, incomes, genders, and abilities in order to meet community health, environmental, and economic needs.

This training is intended as a follow up for stormwater practitioners from the May Stormwater Summit as well as other public-sector and community-based organization staff who are looking to utilize co-design within their practices.

More details and a detailed agenda to follow.
