About this Event

Hi everyone! Can you believe it’s already planting season?

The Nisqually Land Trust and Nisqually River Education Project need your help to plant over 3,000 native trees and shrubs this fall! These trees and shrubs will help restore critical habitat in the beautiful Nisqually Watershed.

These planting dates take place at our Powell Creek Protected Area, which is located near Yelm. Over the past two years, we have been working on replanting a portion of Nisqually floodplain that was formerly used for agriculture. Bring your family, friends, or service group for a meaningful and fun opportunity!

On each of the planting dates, there is a morning shift and afternoon shift. Feel free to sign up for as many shifts as you’d like!

We will have COVID-19 safety protocols in place such as 6+ foot distancing, masks when we are gathered as a group, sterilization of tools, no shared snacks, and limited group sizes. Bring your own gloves and snacks! We can’t wait to see you there!

If you have any questions, send Susannah an email at volunteer@nisquallylandtrust.org.

Thanks, and we hope to see you soon!
