“Join us on Sunday, December 5th, for planting, weeding, and mulching at the Thurston County Correctional Facility (formerly ARC). We’ll get started at 9:30 a.m. and end by 3:30 p.m. (or earlier).”

Have fun, learn, and lend a hand with this great community of people!

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with us! We are a group of volunteers who are passionate about providing hands-on education to protect and conserve South Salish water resources and habitat.

We like to have fun and geek out about plants, all while accomplishing a shared mission to:
  • save native flora and restore native ecosystems;

  • learn and educate others about the roles of native plants in protecting water and habitat, including green stormwater techniques;

  • and empower the public with native plant identification, propagation, and salvaging knowledge!

We aim to find fulfilling and educational activities for every volunteer, regardless of existing skills and abilities. Please complete our volunteer interest form to allow us to serve your needs and build a fruitful partnership. You are welcome to volunteer with us without completing our volunteer interest form, but doing so will ensure a better experience for everyone.

Ongoing volunteers who wish to commit to leadership roles will be required to complete our volunteer interest form and may be asked to participate in an official background check.

We also recognize that volunteers may ultimately find our activities not their cup of tea – and that’s OK! If you have specific feedback on how to make your volunteer experience better, we welcome your input.
