Is your organization asking how it can invest in equity work?  Do you know what steps you’d need to take to build a more equitable work environment, or how your agency can be more accountable to and better partner with the community?

Beginning to meaningfully engage in equity conversations is a fundamental step for any nonprofit.  It’s an ongoing investment that requires intention, full participation, and whole-hearted conversation.

Grantwriters play a key role in supporting organizational change. Whether you’re on staff or a contracted employee, your participation in this process will help inform your work in meeting fundraising goals.

Join PSGA for a training and panel discussion for grantwriters about what to consider when undertaking this important work.  Seattle-based nonprofit consultant, Cami Aurioles, will provide:

  • an overview of what an equity plan is for an organization,
  • what’s involved in developing a plan,
  • the types of goal setting that need to occur, and
  • the implications an equity plan will have both internally and externally.

BONUS: Hear also from our panelists, Carina SchubertDevelopment Director, WestSide Baby and Lee Lambert, Executive Director, City Year Seattle. Carina and Lee will share tangible lessons from their experience in developing and implementing an equity plan for their organizations, including both the challenges and opportunities they have encountered.

This is a topic that is relevant to all organizations, whether you are just beginning to think about developing an equity plan, have already begun the journey, or are seeking to build on an existing plan.

There will be time for questions and conversation after the presentation. Please come ready to engage!
