Savoring and Saving the World Webinar Series Presents

“Between Earth and Sky: Passionate Science, Creative Solutions” a conversation with Dr. Nalini Nadkarni

Wednesday, November 29th, 2023

5:30 PM AZ (7:30 PM EST)

*ONLINE ONLY*

E.B. White famously said, “I arise in the morning torn between a desire to improve (or save) the world and a desire to enjoy (or savor) the world. This makes it hard to plan the day.” In our current time of devastating climate change and social and ecological upheavals, finding the balance between savoring and saving the world becomes more challenging, and more essential.

We’ll explore the role of attentive natural history, the direct practice of savoring the world, in addressing the seeming unraveling of the world, with Nalini Nadkarni, an intrepid scientific explorer of forests – especially their previously little known canopies – and a passionate advocate for the importance of human relationship with trees and forests.

*Webinar registration is required for access to Q&A.*
