Camp Habitat Director
Position: 2024 Camp Habitat Director Location: Creamer’s Field Migratory Waterfowl Refuge, Fairbanks, AK Status: Seasonal position, part-time March-May, full-time June through mid-August. Date Posted: January 31, 2024 Closing Date: Open until filled. First Review: February 29, 2024 Date Available: March 20, 2024 – flexible start date Employment Details: $20-$23/hour, DOE. Job Description: Camp Habitat is a nature education and ecology day camp for youth ages 4-11. There are five (5) camp sessions that run in June and July. The Camp Director’s primary responsibility is to oversee the day-to-day camp operations and supervise camp staff. This position reports directly to the Executive Director of Friends of Creamer’s Field (FOCF).

Camp Habitat Instructor
Position: 2024 Camp Habitat Instructor Location: Creamer’s Field Migratory Waterfowl Refuge, Fairbanks, AK Status: Seasonal position, Full-time June & July Date Posted: February 6, 2024 Closing Date: Open until filled. Employment Details: $17-$19/hour, DOE. Job Description: Camp Habitat is a nature education and ecology camp for kids located at Creamer’s Field Migratory Waterfowl Refuge on College Road in Fairbanks. Instructors are responsible for the complete curriculum planning, leadership, and supervision for one group of 8-12 children per week. Groups range in age from 4 – 5 (pre-school) and 6 – 11 years old (day camp). Instructors develop, organize, and implement developmentally appropriate, fun, and educational activities to facilitate children’s exploration and discovery of nature.

Position: 2024 Camp Habitat Counselor Location: Creamer’s Field Migratory Waterfowl Refuge, Fairbanks, AK Status: Seasonal position, full-time June & July Date Posted: February 6, 2024 Closing Date: Open until filled. Employment Details: $13-$15/hour, DOE. Job Description: Camp Habitat is a nature education and ecology camp for kids located at Creamer’s Field Migratory Waterfowl Refuge on College Road in Fairbanks. Counselors are responsible for the daily set up/ take down of camp, prep work for lessons, leadership, and supervision with an instructor for one group of approximately 8-10 children per week. Groups range in age from 4 – 5 (pre-school) and 6 – 11 years old (day camp). Counselors help instructors organize and implement developmentally appropriate, fun, and educational activities to facilitate children’s exploration and discovery of nature.
