Salary: $50,4000-$56,160/ year

Position Description:

Provide direct motivational and behavior change education and training to juveniles (priority will be boys and girls aged 12 to 17 years of age (youths of color, especially youths of color) and their families who are referred to the FYCOES Program from the Pierce County Juvenile Court, Pierce County school districts, and other related sources due to significant acts of family and/or school/community environment-based aggression/violence involving the youth. Must be available to families 24 hours a day/seven days a week. Meet families in the client’s home or other setting preferred by family. Expected caseload five (5) to seven (7) families at a time. Must comply with and sustain use of training provided to case manager in FYCOES Program model. Supportive and knowledgeable supervisor mentors all case managers. Job expectations include record keeping and other administrative tasks.

 

 

Education Requirements:

Prefer job candidate with MA degree in Psychology, Social Work or related field. BS degree in Psychology, Social Work or related discipline required.

 

 

Previous Experience:

Prefer two years of direct experience with youths of color, especially youth who have been involved with the juvenile court and/or disciplinary action at school. Culturally responsive training and/or experience. Open to learning new methods of helping people focused on evidence-based programs: especially Homebuilders, Multisystemic Therapy, and Aggression Replacement Training.

 

 

The FYCOES Case Manger must:

  • Provide direct services to a caseload of five (5) to seven (7) families at a time.
  • Participate in weekly group supervision for case worker team to assure adherence to FYCOES principles and practices;
  • Participate in individual supervision as needed to target worker competency needs and to remove individual barriers to effective implementation of FYCOES services;
  • Receive supportive and corrective feedback from Program Director to promote client outcomes.
  • Maintain availability to client families 24 hours/day, 7 days/week;
  • Assure case manager accessibility to clients when needed to promote engagement.
  • Assure that case managers achieve engagement with key participants;
  • Actively participate in and integrate training to assure worker competency in all areas relating to the implementation of the FYCOES interventions.
  • Have reliable transportation, up-to-date car insurance, and valid driver’s license.

 

 

Benefits:
