The program at Goucher is interdisciplinary, and we seek candidates who can help students foster their collaborative skills across disciplinary lines.  We seek an enthusiastic, student-oriented colleague with demonstrated potential for excellence in undergraduate teaching. The ideal candidate will have completed coursework as well as research that uses scientific approaches to address environmental problems. Teaching responsibilities include an introductory environmental science lecture and laboratory course, applied statistics, an upper-level elective on a specific science-based topic, and a problem-based course that strengthens non-science students’ ability to understand and apply the Scientific Method.  In addition, we seek a colleague who will mentor undergraduate students in their interdisciplinary capstone research projects.  The teaching load is 24 credits, and Goucher is planning for in-person classes in AY 2021-2022.
