Job Description:
Under the general direction of the Assistant Director of Energy & Sustainability, this position oversees campus engagement and operation initiatives for the Office of Sustainability. The Sustainability Coordinator, in conjunction with Facilities Management, will work collaboratively with faculty, staff and student organizations to encourage and promote sustainable practices on campus to ensure the university meets its sustainability goals and reporting requirements. The coordinator works collaboratively with faculty, staff, students, and external partners to integrate sustainability into all aspects of campus life and facilities management, including energy efficiency, waste reduction, and water conservation.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree with 1-3 years of experience in Environmental/Sustainability education, outreach or project leadership and working in higher education. An equivalent combination of education and experience is also acceptable. Must have and maintain an Texas Driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
Preferred Education and Experience:
USGBC – LEED Green Associate credential or LEED AP
