Responsibilities
1. Collaborates with KSU administration, faculty, staff and students to promote the long-term strategy and success of the university’s sustainability initiatives

2. Identifies, advocates for and supports the implementation of conservation strategies, especially relating to energy and water consumption, transportation and waste management

3. Serves as liaison between university stakeholders, coordinating resources, and facilitating communication on sustainability projects and programs

4. Develops and supports relationships with external community partners in support of strategic programs and projects

5. Assists in defining sustainability goals and tracking performance in key sustainability metrics

6. Supports annual and semi-annual sustainability reporting to third-party institutions, including, but not limited to Second Nature (GHG inventory and Climate Action Plan)

7. Develops, maintains and facilitates internal training and education materials and programming

8. Supports university department in the implementation and tracking of conservation initiatives

9. Manages sustainability interns and provides mentorship to Green Ambassadors

10. Contributes content for website and marketing materials to share progress of sustainability initiatives including, but not limited to, newsletters and articles

11. Represents the Sustainability Program by serving on relevant committees

12. Engages in continuing education opportunities by attending professional development courses, self-directed professional reading and participating in industry interest groups
