Summary
This position is located within the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), Alaska Fisheries Science Center (AFSC), Resource Assessment and Conservation Engineering Division (RACE) with one vacancy located in Seattle, WA.

Responsibilities
As a Supervisory Equipment Specialist (Marine), you will perform the following duties:
- Supervise the fabrication, repair, and maintenance of research fishing gear, including mobile, fixed, and survey support equipment.
- Provide gear construction training and expert advice on research gear design and performance to science staff, fishing charter, research vessels, and other agencies.
- Procure supplies as a government credit cardholder and conduct physical inventories of gear, including support survey equipment.
- Conduct inspections and measurements on research fishing gear to certify to national standards.
