Responsibilities

Prepare/review aquatic resource management plans for limnological and fisheries management, endangered species recovery plans, park planning documents, Resource Stewardship Strategies, Foundation Documents, and other aquatic resource annual reports.

Coordinate the park’s fishery and aquatics management strategies with those on adjacent lands for the purposes of achieving broad management protection strategies and minimizing human impact.

Program, track, allocate and has full responsibility for the aquatic resources branch budget, including ONPS and special initiative accounts such as endangered species, air and water quality and NPS soft funding accounts.

Review employee experience, capability, and the ‘assignment complexity and assign duties, prepare training plans where appropriate, explain work requirements, methods and procedures.

Design, develop, test, and implement scientific monitoring protocols to identify, evaluate and conduct long-term monitoring of park aquatic resources.
