STATE PARK INTERPRETER III: $6,096.00 – $7,574.00

The reporting location for this position is the Resources Building in Sacramento, CA.  The State Park Interpreter III will work under the general direction of the CEA, Chief of Interpretation and Education.

The California State Parks is seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic and engaging individual who will serve as the Access & Engagement Program Manager for the Interpretation and Education Division.  This position will supervise and serve as the liaison between the Department and local, state, and federal agencies, non-profits, and other partners on programs and projects focused on community and youth outreach and access, cultural relevancy, etc.  The position will also be the lead coordinator for several programs, including the Relevancy and History Project, and equity based and youth access programs.  This is an opportunity to foster collaboration and partnerships among diverse organizations, participate in community outreach and engagement events, and guide the Department in innovative partnership and program development to ensure relevancy and access.

Frequent in-state travel will be required including overnight trips and weekends. Must be available to work evenings and weekends.

A valid California’s driver’s license is required for this position.

Training and Development Assignments may be considered.
