What We Are Looking For

We are looking for an individual comfortable working in the field to lead small teams collecting data in forests across Washington and Oregon during the 2022 field season. You will work with Project Managers to organize and execute field projects. This will be a full-time seasonal position. Start and end dates are flexible. Workload will vary up to 40 hrs/wk. This position requires significant travel: likely 80-100% of weeknights will be spent away from home, often camping in the woods. $20-24/hr with mileage and per diem. Desired start date: 4/1/2022 to 5/31/2022. Applications will be considered on a rolling basis.

Qualifications

•    Forestry- or ecology-focused education in progress
•    1-2 seasons of experience collecting data in the field
•    Openness to leading small teams
•    Organized; ability to manage collected data and maintain team schedule
•    Positive attitude and ability to lead an inclusive work environment
•    Ability to travel, work, and camp in rough terrain and adverse conditions
•    Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle capable of driving on primitive roads
•    Proof of vaccination against COVID-19
