We are Hiring a Program Manager!

the Service Board (tSB) mentors youth to conquer personal and community challenges through outdoor adventure, environmental and social justice education, and public service. As a youth-led organization, our vision is for young adults to see themselves as capable of fostering a more equitable future. tSB builds community around strengthening youth capacity and amplifying youth voice by providing access to opportunities for leadership and personal development. We provide a safe and supportive space where high school young adults’ voices from marginalized communities across King County are heard and valued.

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Program Manager to join our team. This person will supervise the Program Coordinator, develop program curriculum along with our Peer Leaders and evaluate the success of our programs while ensuring tSB fosters programs of excellence. This position will also partner with the Executive Director to provide strategic programmatic direction. This is a full-time, exempt position.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 
• Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent work experience in non-profit industry
• At least two years’ experience with developing and executing programs preferably in youth development
• At least two years’ experience with developing and maintaining successful community partnerships
• At least one year experience managing staff
• Experience with, and understanding of, the diverse communities we serve
• Passion for the mission and values of tSB
• Possesses valid driver’s license

ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership & Management
• Provide successfully delivery of overall program and its activities to ensure alignment with tSB’s mission and values
• Partner with Executive Director (ED) to conduct strategic planning, coordination and implementation of annual program plans and goals
• Manage program budget including periodic budget reports to ensure accuracy and controlled spending
• Supervise Program Coordinator (PC) and program interns
• Serve as staff lead for Risk Management Committee
• Assist ED with recruitment, interviewing and selection of well-qualified program staff

Planning & Evaluation
• Evaluate tSB’s programming to ensure continuous quality assessment, impact and recommendations for program improvement
• Establish recruitment and retention strategy for program participants including volunteers
• Provide regular reports on program for funders and board meetings
• Create work plan and provide performance evaluation for Program Coordinator

Program Partnerships
• Partner with ED to determine strategy for formalized programmatic partnerships
• Establish and maintain programmatic partnerships and foster long term relationships to ensure program effectiveness
• Maintain an effective relationship with adult and youth program volunteers throughout program
• Partner with Development Manager to establish and execute alumni engagement strategy
• Partner with Outreach Coordinator to ensure visibility of organization at community events and activities
• Required to work some weekends and weeknights

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
• Salary DOE ($47,000-$50,000 range)
