PROGRAM MANAGER, CLIMATE AND SUSTAINABILITY CONSORTIUMSchool of Engineering (temporary, part-time, 50%), to lead the management, operations, strategic planning, and implementation of the MIT Climate and Sustainability Program. As the consortium is a new program, will be responsible for leading the strategic planning for the program–in collaboration with the faculty directors and the faculty advisory committee–from conception to full operation and long-term planning.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: a bachelor’s degree in a related field; at least three years of administration or operations experience and/or project/program management; self-motivation; excellent strategic thinking, organizational, and communication skills; a deadline-oriented approach to work and the ability to deliver high-quality results while managing multiple priorities; ability to conduct, write, and communicate technical research and proposals; experience planning and executing complex programs and effectively engaging with industry, alumni, staff, faculty, and other stakeholders; ability to collaborate with and lead and influence senior executives, MIT faculty, and those in other MIT support functions without direct reporting relationships; and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

PREFERRED: advanced degree in a related field; experience with public relations and higher-education institutions in an international environment; experience presenting to a diverse audience; and proficiency with Slack, Asana, Tableau, and Microsoft Office.
