Position summary

WTA seeks an Outdoor Leadership Training (OLT) Senior Coordinator to support WTA’s community partnerships and leadership development function and advance WTA’s mission to mobilize hikers and everyone who loves the outdoors to explore, steward and champion trails and public lands. The Outdoor Leadership Training Senior Coordinator’s primary responsibility is to engage and support community leaders, through fulfilling gear needs, facilitating workshops, assisting with trip planning and fostering long-term partnerships. This position is the lead instructor for hiking, camping, backpacking and snowshoeing workshops and coordinates all logistics regarding those events. WTA is currently in the process of opening a second gear library in Pierce County to support our South Puget Sound partners. This position will help coordinate and support getting the new site set up and functioning as well as provide critical outreach to build awareness of the new community resource.

The Outdoor Leadership Training Senior Coordinator is a full time, non-exempt position based in WTA’s Seattle gear library that reports to the Community Partnerships and Leadership Development Director. Currently due to the COVID-19 pandemic, WTA staff have the option to work from home, however some tasks require this position to work at the gear libraries.
