The Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has an exciting opportunity within our Wildfire Division. Are you interested in a career that allows you to serve local communities by reducing wildfire risk, and promoting healthy forests? We are looking for an Office Assistant 3 to join our team that provides assistance to the Wildfire and Forest Health and Resiliency Divisions.

Duties

Responsibilities:

  • Serves as Wildfire and Forest Health and Resiliency Divisions receptionist and clerical support.
  • Answers Forest Fire phone line and multi-line phone, responding to inquiries, taking information, triaging the call to the proper department or dispatch center.
  • Opens, sorts, distruibutes mail and correspondence.
  • Preparation of travel arragements as needed.
  • Maintains two conference room calendars, set up conference calls.
  • Reviews and verifies fiscal reports for accuracy and compliance.
  • Data entry for log brands, MERs, weather observations, credit card transaction log, and inventory data sheets.
  • Special projects as assigned my divisions.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years of experience completing administrative tasks; answering multi-line phones, copying, faxing, filing, word processing, basic math and customer service.
  • Proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
  • Ability to learn department programs.
  • Ability to communicate to the public and staff in a friendly professional manor.
