NATURAL RESOURCES SPECIALIST

Salary: $72,553 – $126,585 per year Locations: Oldtown, ID / Libby, MT / Bridgeport, WA / Seattle, WA Schedule: Full-time

Duties
- Provides program management support to field level managers on development and implementation of a variety of complex, unusual, and/or controversial environmental stewardship management and protection programs.
- Serves as a district authority for the planning of park facilities that provide cost-effective, safe, and accessible public recreation.
- Serves as a District representative at natural resource management meetings with field staff, other government entities, and public interest groups to discuss regulations, laws, and policies governing the use of land, water, and facilities.
- Provides support to Natural Resources Managers in the evaluation of facility conditions, economic benefits, and availability of facilities using Recreation Budget Evaluation SysTem and/or Environmental Stewardship Budget Evaluation SysTem.
- Serves as a business line manager by developing and ranking line items and ensure budget execution, program management, and managing expectations of stakeholders, for the advancement of the program.

Basic Requirement for Natural Resources Specialist:
A. Degree: Bachelor’s degree (or higher degree) in biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or related disciplines appropriate to the position.
OR
B. Combination of Education and Experience: Courses equivalent to a major, as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education.
