Are you inspired to mobilize Washingtonian tribes around elections and voting? Does the thought of engaging Native American voters to elect environmental champions at the state and local level get you excited? Native Vote Senior Organizer will be guided by Washington Environmental Council (WEC) and Washington Conservation Voters (WCV) the fiscal sponsor of Native Vote Washington. This person is responsible for supporting Native Vote WA’s civic engagement efforts and political organizing and accountability efforts. The Senior Organizer will work closely with the Washington Conservation Voters Field Director and supervise a team of Native Vote interns who will work as part of a broader field team. This is a full-time, exempt position and given the current pandemic we are working remotely and foresee doing that for an extended period. Our teams have access to a variety of online tools and systems that support working remotely. This can be a remote position within Washington state, but prioritizing folks who live on or near Lummi, Colville, Yakama, Puyallup, or Quinault Nations. At this time, we anticipate this job will involve some travel (up to 50% of time) to different parts of Washington State and requires a valid drivers’ license and regular access to a vehicle. The Native Vote Senior Organizer reports to the Field Director.
