Hartwick College, a nationally ranked, selective liberal arts and sciences institution, invites applications for multiple adjunct positions as a part-time Adjunct Lecturer in Environment, Sustainability, and Society for the Spring 2021 Semester. The successful candidates will have the opportunity to teach a geographic information systems (GIS) course depending on their training and expertise. The opportunity to teach in future semesters may be available.

Qualifications include an M.S. in GIS, geography, environmental science or related field with GIS focus, or GIS certificate with college teaching experience. From time-to-time, the college teaches courses using face-to-face, online distance learning, or in hybrid (online/distance learning and face-to-face mixed) formats, and faculty are expected to offer instruction with comparable content and similar assessments regardless of the modality of course delivery. In their cover letter, applicants should specify their willingness to teach in face-to-face, online and/or hybrid modalities and explain their experience with each. Applicants should be committed to teaching excellence.
