Salary– $59,436.00 – $78,000.00 Annually

Required Qualifications:

Experience for both required and desired qualifications can be gained through various combinations of formal professional employment and educational experience. See below for how you may qualify.

Option 1: 

Two (2) years’ experience, within the last five (5) years,  using ArcGIS technology (Arc GIS Desktop, Arc GIS Server, ArcInfo or ArcSDE products), including experience in SQL programming or database report development. Experience includes but not limited to independently analyzing, designing, implementing and maintaining databases.

Option 2: 

Associates degree in Computer Science, Information Technology (IT), Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM), or closely related field or completion of a two (2) year accredited vocational training program in IT, Environmental Science (*with GIS emphasis) or related program.

Please Note: Additional combinations of education or accredited vocational training, as listed above, can substitute year for year for experience.

Desired Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree with focus on environmental science, including chemistry; relational database design; or data analytics.
  • Knowledge of environmental and/or science-based business areas.
  • One year of professional experience designing and producing cartographic products.
  • Knowledge of hydrographic science principle.
  • Demonstrated initiative to improve skills through training or other learning opportunities.
