Salary– $31,344.00 – $40,440.00 Annually

What you will do: 

  • Respond to phone calls and e-mails from businesses regarding the Hazardous Waste Generation Fee. 
  • Explain statutory and regulatory requirements, and administrative policies and procedures. 
  • Research, determine eligibility, and process requests for waivers and exemptions.

Required Qualifications:
Experience for both required and desired qualifications can be gained through various combinations of formal professional employment, educational and volunteer experience. See below for how you may qualify.

Option 1:

  • Graduation from high school or GED equivalent.
  • Two (2) years of technical or third clerical-level experience in an environmental agency or office.
Experience may include:
  • Answering calls and emails, and referring inquiries to the appropriate staff person. 
  • Collecting fees or documents from the public and maintaining records
  • Receiving and distributing mail, messages, or records
  • Entering and retrieving data in an electronic system

Option 2:

  • One (1) year of college-level coursework (30-59 semester or 45-89 quarter credits) in environmental, physical, or natural sciences, or closely related field.
  • One (1) year of technical or third clerical-level experience in an environmental agency or office.
Experience may include:
  • Answering calls and emails, and referring inquiries to the appropriate staff person. 
  • Collecting fees or documents from the public and maintaining records
  • Receiving and distributing mail, messages, or records
  • Entering and retrieving data in an electronic system

Option 3:

Two (2) years of college level coursework (60-89 semester or 90-134 quarter credits) in environmental, physical, or natural sciences, or closely related field.
