Do you want to help protect wildlife in Washington state? Do you want to gain concrete career skills in environmental or political advocacy? Are you looking for community in these turbulent times? Want to have an impact on a fast-moving and region-changing campaign?

The Endangered Species Coalition is currently working to save the Southern Resident orcas, one of the most iconic and cherished species in the Pacific Northwest. A whale named Tahlequah made international headlines when she recently gave birth. The Southern Residents are an intelligent and unique species, but only 75 orcas remain in the wild today. Suffering from a lack of food, pollution, and other threats, the orcas are in danger of becoming extinct.

Our best chance in over 30 years to save this iconic species, as well as the salmon they rely on, is right now. The campaign is moving quickly and it needs your help!

The Endangered Species Coalition has a grassroots team of volunteers to help save the Southern Resident orcas. We are looking for passionate volunteers in WA, OR, and ID who are ready to step into leadership and manage a small group of team members. Organization, patience, and the ability to inspire others are welcome skills, but everything you will need to be successful will be taught though trainings.

Volunteer hours and schedule are both very flexible, and can be shaped around classes, job schedules, extracurriculars, and other commitments.
