Request for Proposals: Grant Writing

October 2023

Since 2008, the Thurston Climate Action Team (TCAT) has been bringing our community together to reduce climate disruption, resulting in a healthy, just and prosperous future for all. Since that time, through advocacy with elected officials, working with local governments to create a climate action plan, and various forms of public engagement, TCAT has become the foremost grass roots climate action group in Thurston County. We are looking to expand our organization and increase funding to support our expansion. We are seeking a contract grant writer to help us develop a grant writing plan and write grants that develop organizational infrastructure, and to support and expand various advocacy and public engagement and community education efforts we have created.

TCAT is an equal opportunity employer. TCAT recognizes the inequities present in various government and corporate policies that disproportionately hurt the most marginalized people in society, including people of color, people from working class backgrounds, women and LGBTQ people. We believe that these communities must be centered in the work we do. Hence, we strongly encourage applications from people with these identities or who are members of other marginalized communities.
