The Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has an exciting opportunity within our Information Technology Division.

 

 

Duties

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the application, infrastructure, and system needs of the Lidar Portal.
  • Works closely with the GIS team, Washington Geological Survey (WGS), Service Desk, Information Technology Coordinators (ITC), IT System and Network Administrators, IT DBAs, Developers, IT Management, and other agency users/stakeholders.

 

 

 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor of Science in computer science, information systems, or related field;
    PLUS 4 years of experience in the following areas: 
    • Experience designing, programming, and deploying Geographic Information Systems (GIS) applications. 
    • Experience with JavaScript, Python, PostgreSQL, and other development tools. Professional-level working experience using geospatial software and hardware in a web application environment.
      OR a combination of education and/or experience equivalent.
  • Experience configuring ArcGIS Image Server.
  • Experience troubleshooting issues and providing technical support software tools in a large technology environment.
  • Knowledge and experience in all software development life cycle stages.

Special Requirements and Conditions of Employment:
  • Office setting, including possible remote work/work-from-home settings.
  • Minimal. Occasional travel to offsite meetings, trainings, or conferences.
Desired Qualifications:
  • General knowledge of natural resource management.
  • Experience with cloud technologies.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology.
  • Experience with Windows Server Administration in an enterprise environment at a professional level. Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining Windows server systems, including troubleshooting system logs and tools. NTFS permission inheritance and settings, Registry system setting and editing.
