Salary- $46,644.00 – $61,224.00 Annually

What you will do: 

  • Oversee field monitoring for the exploratory component of FFCMP. This includes preparation and use of specialized scientific equipment, instrument calibration, collection and preparation of environmental samples (water, sediment, and tissue), and stream flow measurements. These operations usually involve the use of specialized boats.
  • In conjunction with the FFCMP Project Manager, prepare quality assurance project plans (QAPPs), standard operating procedures (SOPs), and scientific reports.
  • Perform data reduction, analysis, and entry of project data into Ecology’s Environmental Information Management System (EIM).
  • Conduct statistical analysis and quality assurance review of environmental data.
  • Use various software programs for data analysis and mapping (spreadsheets, statistics, and GIS), and report preparation (word processing).
  • Assist other scientists in the Toxics Studies Unit by providing field and office support for other environmental studies.
  • Provide technical review of departmental publications, regulations, SOPs and environmental criteria.
