Description
The Warm Springs Tribes’ John Day Basin Habitat Restoration Program is hiring a crew lead and three crew members to implement monitoring activities for bull trout and other fish species of concern during the 2021 field season. This position requires the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, well developed multi-tasking skills, attention to detail, and the desire/ability to engage in physically challenging field work. Selected candidates will assist in the implementation of fisheries monitoring activities including spawning, survey, eDNA collection, electrofishing, and snorkeling.
Requirements
Associates degree in fisheries or Natural Resource studies, plus at least six months of experience natural resource type work OR a minimum of three years experience with fisheries/natural resources with strong proficiency in knowledge and skills. Familiarity with Pacific Northwest salmonids, and their habitats. Must have a current Oregon Drivers License, be able to pass a drug test, and a background check.
