The Conservancy is looking for a great candidate with the following desirable skills:

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate with varied audiences
  • Experience in initiating grants and contracts
  • Ability to manage projects administered by the Conservancy and its contractors and grantees
  • Effective organizational skills

The Ecological Program Environmental Scientist will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating and participating in the initiation of environmental projects
  • Reviewing and evaluating the scientific merit of project proposals
  • Applying for funding for projects by using established protocols and guidelines
  • Completing research, reviewing, analyzing and addressing emerging and potential special projects by performing a variety of natural resource management and environmental protection, planning, and implementation activities
  • Developing and reviewing correspondence, reports, proposals, and other materials related to environmental issues
