Agrimanagement, Inc. is seeking an individual to fill the role of Contract Research Coordinator. This position is responsible for implementing and managing an applied agricultural contract research program. Agrimanagement serves agricultural product companies and commodity groups seeking information of their new or established products and cultural practices for further knowledge of efficacy. The Contract Research Coordinator will have the opportunity to work with the unique crop diversity in the Pacific Northwest as well as with a knowledgeable team of scientists.

Key Responsibilities and Duties Include:
Overseeing all replicated research and un‐replicated demonstration (R&D) field trials performed at Agrimanagement
Marketing to find new client relationships and retain existing customers
Working closely with clients and understand their needs for research
Working closely with cooperators for plot placement and data collection of research trials
Creating trial protocols or concisely follow specific client protocols
Train technicians to follow specific protocol directions
Plot setup and data collection
Providing periodic updates to clients
Providing written reports to clients in a timely manner
Present commodity group research results at meetings
Job Requirements and Skills:
Possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Agronomy, Horticulture, Entomology, Plant Pathology, Weed Science, or other applicable agricultural science degree
3+ years experience in applied agricultural field research and/or R&D trials
Technical understanding of applied agricultural research, including formatting protocols, appropriate placement and arrangements of field plots, coordinating data collection, report writing and statistical analysis (when appropriate)
Possess or have the ability to obtain a Washington State pesticide license in the categories of “Commercial Pest Control Consultant” and “Demonstration and Research Applicator” within 90 days of hiring Contract
Understanding of pesticide safety and ability to work with and apply registered and unregistered organic and conventional pesticides and plant health promoters in a safe and appropriate manner
Ability to wear PPE, including a full faced respirator
Ability to lift a minimum of 30 lbs
Ability to work long hours and in all climatic conditions (hot, cold, wind, or rain)
Is personable and can work closely with clients, cooperators and team members
Is a team player and is willing to help other staff with tasks when needed and when time allows
Is a self‐starter and has the ability to seize opportunities and move projects forward with minimal direction
Possesses effective problem‐solving skills
Clear and concise oral and written communication skills
Proficient computer skills including the use of MS Office tools
Proficient with statistics
Possess a valid driver’s license
Other Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of various crops grown in the Pacific Northwest
Experience with hiring, training and managing employees
Working knowledge of ARM
Proficient use of R statistical package
Grant writing ability
Bilingual: English‐Spanish
