The Program Manager implements the adopted Conservation Lands Management Plan utilizing adaptive management techniques to oversee conservation lands, trails, and open spaces for public recreation and provides educational outreach to preserve natural and cultural resources.

Develop and implement natural, cultural, and recreational management plans and best management practices for City-owned public natural areas using a scientific research process

● Responsible for the hiring, training, supervision, evaluation and performance of staff including seasonal and intermittent
● Oversee program budget including purchasing, contracted services, grants, and permit fees
● Develop and deliver reports and presentations to public boards, committees, and the media
● Assist with the implementation of collaborative community Open Space, green infrastructure, and climate resiliency projects
● Coordinate Conservation Lands activities with other department supervisors and outside agencies to facilitate efficient, effective, and professional departmental operations
● Prepare and administer grants related to conservation lands and assigned public areas or programs
