The Conservation Director is a senior management position that manages the land protection work of the organization. This includes acquiring priority lands and waters, securing grants and other funding for land protection, serving on appropriate boards that add value to the Land Trust, developing land acquisition subplans, keeping the land protection portion of the Conservation Plan updated, coordinating closely with the stewardship program, forming strong relationships with lenders, agency employees and private donors to enhance funding opportunities, forming relationships with priority land owners, giving public and member presentations, working with elected officials and actively participating in the management team. The Conservation Director will supervise and mentor the Land Protection Specialist(s) and Land Protection Assistant.
