Position: Director of Planning and Environmental Services

Exeltech Consulting, Inc. is seeking a senior level environmental planning/permitting professional to join our highly skilled team of environmental and engineering professionals delivering transportation and civil works projects throughout the Pacific Northwest. The successful candidate will grow into a leadership role with a full-service team providing the highest quality consulting services to the public and private sectors in the fields of transportation, planning, urban development, and environmental restoration. We are seeking an individual with at least five (5) years of experience managing environmental studies, documentation and permitting for roadway projects, and direct experience managing environmental compliance during construction.

Minimum Education:

· B.S. in the Biological/Environmental Sciences or related fields

Desired Skills, Experience and Qualities:

· Five (5) years professional experience in transportation planning, permitting and environmental compliance

· Familiarity with wetland delineation reporting and permitting

· Familiarity with fish Passage planning, design and permitting

· Experience with transportation Design-Build project delivery and environmental compliance

· NEPA/SEPA documentation

· Washington State and local regulations (SMA, Critical Areas, Hydraulic Code)

· Clean Water Act Section 404 permitting

· Prepared Biological Assessments under ESA Section 7

· Mitigation planning

· Client/Agency interaction

· Ability to manage projects and staffing resources

· Business development and proposal writing experience

· Excellent technical writing and communication skills

· Computer skills: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

· Strong desire for career growth and advancement

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 – $45.00 per hour
