Salary- $46,644.00 – $62,748.00 Annually

Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge of agency policies, practices and procedures.
  • Oral and written communication.
  • Key Knowledge and Skills, Forestry: Knowledge of Forest Practices Act and Rules.
  • General Forestry, Fish and Wildlife knowledge. Knowledge of local timber harvest and forest road construction practices.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications: 

  • Associate degree in forestry or similar natural resources degree.
    OR one or more years of professional natural resource management experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to:
    • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing
    • Provide outstanding customer service
    • Work effectively as part of a team
    • Use computer skills involving managing office data and corresponding to multiple customers including staff, landowners, agencies, and Tribes.
  • Incumbent must be able to traverse steep, uneven terrain in all weather conditions. Large majority (70%) of fieldwork is performed in isolated, unimproved natural areas.
  • The incumbent in this position is required to travel. Requires large majority (60%) of time in the field traveling alone between forest practice sites.
  • A valid driver’s license and have two years of driving experience. This position requires driving as an essential function. Finalists and/or interview candidates will be asked to provide a driving record from all states in which they have held a license during the past three years.
