As the Nisqually Land Trust Community Engagement Member, the AmeriCorps member will grow our network of partner organizations and volunteers, engaging them in activities that further the mission of the Land Trust. The Nisqually Land Trust is a local non-profit organization, with seven staff members, that protects and manages more than 8,700 acres in the Nisqually River Watershed in South Puget Sound.
Responsibilities: The AmeriCorps member will be responsible for:
- Recruiting, training, and supporting outreach, stewardship and restoration volunteers;
- Developing content for Nisqually Land Trust social media accounts and blog;
- Growing our network of partners by attending local and regional outreach events;
- Planning and implementing volunteer stewardship events for community groups;
- Developing and implementing volunteer procedures and training workshops;
- Hosting an annual volunteer recognition event, and;
- Compiling volunteer records.
