Blue Coast Engineering (Blue Coast) is seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated administrative assistant/technical editor to join our team. While most of the work will be completed remotely (i.e., from home), the position requires in-office work one-day per week at either our Lake Forest Park or Bellingham, WA locations.

The position includes assisting our small group (6 staff in total) with a wide variety of tasks critical to the function and operation of the company.

 Responsibilities and duties for the position include:

  • Proof reading and formatting technical reports and proposals
  • Work with project managers to facilitate project invoicing and vendor payments
  • Accounting data entry
  • Review, edit, and upload webpage and other social media content
  • Project coordination

Qualifications and skills required or preferred (where noted) for the position include:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Report/document editing and formatting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word/Excel
  • Experience with Adobe Acrobat (required) and InDesign (preferred)
  • Attention to detail, team mentality and a positive attitude
  • Able to work independently
  • Familiarity with the A/E Industry (preferred)

Hours: Part-time, hours are variable (16 to 24 hours per week expected)

Location: Position will be remote, but requires in-office work one-day per week in Lake Forest Park or Bellingham, WA

Experience: 2 years or more in a similar role

Salary: Commiserate with experience.

Our team is based in Lake Forest Park, Washington with a second location in Bellingham, Washington.
