•Ability to get to the farm and maintain a set schedule
•Willingness to do farm labor which can be physically demanding
• Preparing fields for planting – tilling, applying soil amendments, shaping beds and installing drip irrigation
• Direct seeding and transplanting plant starts
• Weed control, including hand weeding raised beds
• Harvesting and preparing vegetables for CSA boxes and delivery
• Caring for poultry
• Special projects
• Interns are also encouraged to undertake individual research or other projects, with approval and support of the farm manager.
