Description
The City of Olympia, Storm and Surface Water Utility (SSW) within the Public Works Department, seeks an intern to assist the SSW team with compliance inspections, spreadsheet/database management, records research, data collection using Collector App and Arc GIS for editing and creating infrastructure maps, and giving recommendations on corrective actions necessary for permit compliance. If you are majoring in Environmental Sciences, Engineering, Geography, Urban Planning or a closely related field, we invite you to apply for this opportunity to become an intern with the City of Olympia.

This internship requires that the applicant be a student currently enrolled in an associate, undergraduate or graduate degree program. The projected start date (flexible) is April 16, 2021 and is expected to run approximately 8 months, no longer than December 31, 2021. Hours are part-time during school (19 hours per week) and full-time on breaks and during the summer (40 hours).
