Community Forestry Assistance Grant Overview

The purpose of this grant is to assist communities with planning and implementing projects that improve management, care, and public engagement with trees growing in parks, natural areas, and along public rights-of-way. The Projects should also address social and environmental disparities in Washington communities by investing in community-identified urban forestry needs that advance environmental, social, or public health outcomes.For complete details view the Request For Proposals and download the Application Form to submit a proposal.ELIGIBILITY:Local units of government, schools, tribes, special taxing districts and nonprofit organizations.APPLICATION PROCESS:Applications are announced each fall, submitted to the DNR Urban & Community Forestry Program Manager (contact below) and then reviewed by a grant review panel. Applications are approved, adjusted or denied. Applicants are notified and agreements signed.
