Government helping Government GIS Recognition Award
We all know that person who goes over and above normal job duties, assisting others with technical issues, extra time for phone calls and answering endless questions. Here is an opportunity as a GIS community to recognize those extraordinary individuals.
Here are the criteria:
1) The individual is with a government organization (state, county, local, federal or tribal) who is assisting another WA government agency.
2) The time/ work performed is not part of the person’s normal job duties (meaning there is no additional compensation for completing the work and no requirement per se that they assist)
3) Must be nominated by November 10th.
Please send nominations or questions to joanne.markert@ocio.wa.gov (OCIO) and joshg@co.skagit.wa.us (WAURISA). Include description of the work that was done this past year (since January 2020), why you are nominating them and an estimate of time and resources devoted.
A selected individual will be announced at the Joint Agency GIS Week Event. Award will be mailed if they are unable to attend.
