We are always seeking instructors to give educational presentations and interactive workshops on a wide range of GIS topics throughout the year. All submissions are welcome and will be evaluated as a potential workshop focus. If you have a workshop idea, please email us at workshops@waurisa.org.
Suggested workshop topics include:
- Implementation Topics: Transportation, Asset Management, Emergency Services, Cadastral, Mobile GIS, Remote Sensing, Web GIS, UAS and Lidar.
- Data Topics: Open Data, Database storage, SQL for Spatial, Big Data.
- Process Topics: Map Production, Data Creation, Communication.
- Developer Topics: Python, .NET, Model Builder, Customizing Apps, Open Source, Javascript API, Dev Ops, Github, Geocortex solutions and more.
Typical Workshop Schedule:
- Half Day 8:30-12:00 and 1:00-4:30
- Full Day 8:30 – 4:30 (includes 1 hour lunch break)
Presenter benefits: Workshop presenters will receive a percentage of the proceeds from their workshop. The amount will vary based on enrollment numbers and event costs. Organizers will be in touch via email after the submission deadline to confirm your workshop acceptance and to work out specific details.
Attendance at workshops averages 10-50 attendees per workshop.
