Salmon Survival Data Critical Solutions
Time & Location
About the Event
If salmon are the indicator species for our watershed and their populations are declining, what does that mean for our own well-being? From indigenous perspectives, to land use planning, to climate science, we will build a table of student impact project ideas that integrate science, engineering, civics, economics, geographic literacy, ELA, and media arts. Biologists from both King County and Tacoma Water explain the methodology and implications of salmon survival data. Career pathways related to environmental science will be explored and the Lab features interaction with a team of highly capable students from the Sustainability Ambassadors Youth Leadership Program.
