The Palgrave Encyclopedia of Urban and Regional Futures (Springer Nature) welcomes chapter contributions on topics related to urban and regional issues.


Chapters, on a topic related to urban and regional issues, can be authored, or co-authored with expert colleagues, with several chapter lengths available:
  • Short 750–2,000 words
  • Medium 2,000–4,000 words
  • Longer central topics from 5,000 to 10,000 words

The deadline for a chapter submission is anytime between now and October 2021.

The Encyclopedia provides readers (practitioners, academics, researchers etc.) with expert interdisciplinary knowledge on how urban centres and regions are becoming resilient, resource-efficient, environmentally friendly, liveable, socially equitable, integrated, and technology-enabled centres and regions.
